Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, AAVEC is an acute care emergency veterinary hospital located in beautiful Annapolis, Maryland.  With a staff of twenty experienced emergency veterinarians from across North America and a highly-qualified, trained technical staff, we are able to provide services ranging from repairing minor wounds and lacerations to emergency surgeries and overnight intensive care.

We treat dogs, cats, rabbits, and ferrets on a regular basis, but we also see other less common pets like chinchillas, guinea pigs, sugar gliders, snakes, dragons, and more, after normal business hours.  Due to safety concerns, we do not treat wild raccoons, foxes, skunks, or deer.  If you have found injured wildlife, for your safety, do not touch it -- contact us at 410.224.0331.  Also, please call for advice if you have found an injured wild animal other than those listed.

Our facility is state-of-the-art and we offer treatment using the latest innovations in veterinary medicine.  We offer digital radiography (x-ray) to accompany our ultrasonography (ultrasound) services.  We also have an in-house laboratory, which allows us to conduct many tests right in our facility while you wait.  If you have questions about the other types of services we provide, please contact a Client Service Team Member at 410.224.0331.

Payment is due at the time service is rendered.

If the patient is admitted to the hospital, a deposit will be required.
