Referring Veterinarians

Our emergency and critical care team at Anne Arundel Veterinary Emergency Clinic is designed to serve as an extension of your practice. We want to provide your clients with emergency critical care services when it is deemed necessary. We would be pleased to care for your referred patients.

Our services include:

  • Emergency care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

  • Overnight monitored care

  • Critical Care/ICU

  • Post-operative surgical care and anesthetic recovery

  • Advanced life-support care

  • Administration of blood products or constant rate infusion drug therapy

  • Emergency diagnostic procedures including endoscopy, ultrasound and digital radiology

  • Emergency surgery

While your referral patient receives care at our clinic, we will promptly keep you updated on their status and care. We cannot, nor do we intend to, replace the important ongoing relationship and trust you have between you and your clients.

We will provide you with updates and all medical records, including radiographs.

If you suspect that your patient will need a specialist in another department at CVRC (i.e., internal medicine, neurology, surgery), or needs an ultrasound or endoscopy, please call us before transferring so that we can ensure their availability upon arrival.

When referring a patient to us, if possible, please email or provide the client with the most recent notes, radiographs, and any pertinent lab results.
